This grant opportunity aims to strengthen the European Union’s capacity for risk assessment of vector-borne diseases (VBDs) by fostering partnerships among institutions with relevant expertise, specifically within the eastern EU Member States (Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Romania). The initiative is part of a coordinated, multi-lot call to build long-term collaborations, harmonise risk assessment methodologies, and support informed decision-making regarding VBDs. Funded activities include developing and implementing a four-year scientific roadmap, performing risk assessments, addressing knowledge gaps, and disseminating findings to stakeholders and risk managers across the EU.
