Description
This opportunity, part of NASA's annual Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences (ROSES) omnibus, solicits proposals for the Heliophysics Innovation in Technology and Science (HITS) program. The HITS element is designed to advance NASA Heliophysics goals through outstanding, innovative, or expeditious research that can be completed within one year. The program encourages:
- High-risk/high-reward research with potential for major breakthroughs or new approaches in Heliophysics.
- Rapid-response research to take advantage of unforeseen events or targets of opportunity in the Heliophysics system.
Proposals must clearly articulate the significance and urgency (if applicable) of the research, and why this program element is the appropriate mechanism for support. All proposals must include an Open Science and Data Management Plan and are strongly encouraged to use NASA's standard Heliophysics templates.
