This award supports the research of clinician-scientists (MD or MD/PhD) in vision science, enabling innovative clinical, translational, or basic science projects that advance ophthalmology. There are two award categories each cycle: one open to any vision science topic, and one co-funded with the Mary Tyler Moore Vision Initiative, targeting diabetic retinal disease (DRD).
