Description
This grant, administered by the Nevada Department of Education’s Division of Teaching and Learning, provides funding and support to Nevada’s 14 rural and frontier local education agencies (LEAs) for the implementation of the Presidential Youth Fitness Program. The initiative aims to address high rates of physical inactivity and childhood obesity in geographically isolated communities by supplying complete, standardized fitness testing packages, supporting data collection, and enhancing daily wellness interventions and physical education opportunities.
