Established through a partnership between the National Trust for Historic Preservation and the Historic Hawaiʻi Foundation, the fund assists with a wide array of preservation activities, including hiring professional consultants, sponsoring conferences and workshops, developing educational programs, producing outreach materials, acquiring significant properties, purchasing perpetual easements, and performing restoration and stabilization of historic sites. All funded projects must adhere to the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties and acknowledge both the National Trust and Historic Hawaiʻi Foundation in all project materials.
