The SB 1 Sea Level Rise Adaptation Grant Program – Track 1: Planning provides funding for local, regional, and tribal governments in California to plan for sea level rise (SLR) along the coast and San Francisco Bay. The program focuses on supporting the development of consistent, robust adaptation plans that address climate resilience, greenhouse gas reduction, and environmental justice. Projects can include community visioning, vulnerability assessments, data gathering, and the creation or update of adaptation plans, with a strong emphasis on engagement with disadvantaged communities and tribes.
