The Senate Bill 1 Sea Level Rise Adaptation Grant Program, administered by the California Ocean Protection Council (OPC), provides funding to local, regional, and tribal governments, as well as eligible nonprofits and universities, to develop and implement sea level rise (SLR) adaptation plans and projects. The program is designed to build resilience along California’s coast and San Francisco Bay by supporting both planning (Track 1) and on-the-ground implementation (Track 2) efforts. Dedicated technical assistance and a Tribal Cultural Resources Funding Program are also available to support applicants, especially those from disadvantaged communities and tribes.
