The Commercialization Readiness Pilot (CRP) Program is designed to help United States small business concerns (SBCs) transition NIH-funded SBIR or STTR projects from late-stage development to successful commercialization. The program provides support for research and development (R&D) activities and technical assistance not typically covered by Phase II or Phase IIB awards. Eligible activities include independent replication or confirmation of key studies, IND- or IDE-enabling studies, clinical studies, manufacturing scale-up, regulatory support, and other specialized technical services. The CRP allows substantial subcontracting to achieve project goals.
