The Scholars for the Dream Travel Award, sponsored by the Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC), aims to encourage scholarship by historically underrepresented groups within the field of composition and communication. The award recognizes scholars whose presence and contributions are vital to the advancement of the profession, specifically supporting individuals from Black, Latinx, Asian, American Indian/Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, or other Pacific Islander backgrounds, regardless of citizenship status. Recipients are selected for the originality of their research, significance of their pedagogical or theoretical contributions, and the potential for their work to inspire further projects. Awardees receive financial support for travel to the CCCC Annual Convention, mentorship from established CCCC members, and are honored at a special reception.
