Description
The Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), part of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Justice Programs, funds community-based organizations and tribal governments through this Second Chance Act program. The program supports mentoring and transitional services for people returning to communities from adult correctional facilities who are assessed as moderate to high risk for recidivism. Services may be provided before release, after release, or both.
