This opportunity supports 18-month Sector Transition Policy Fellowships funded by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI). Fellows are embedded within UK or devolved government departments, arm’s length bodies, or What Works Network members, working on research and analysis that directly informs policy in priority areas. The program aims to foster knowledge exchange, build lasting networks between academia and policy, and generate new insights on effective policy collaboration. Three main types of fellowships are offered: Core Policy, Natural Hazards and Resilience, and What Works Innovation, each tailored to different policy challenges and career stages. Fellows benefit from mentorship, access to novel data, opportunities to inform decision-making, and participation in a supportive cohort.
