--- ## Description The "Security, Society and the State" research programme by the Gerda Henkel Foundation was designed to advance research on contemporary security issues, particularly those emerging in the post-Cold-War era. It encouraged both junior and senior scholars to investigate under-explored topics related to state authority, technological change, public policy, conflict resolution, non-governmental actors, and communication strategies in security policy.
