Areas of interest include: - The evolution of life, ecology, environments, and biogeography through geologic time using fossil evidence. - All aspects of Earth's sedimentary lithosphere, including geological processes and resources in rock sequences. - Methods and science of dating, sequencing, and measuring rates of geological and biological events in Earth's past. - Production, transport, and deposition of modern and ancient sediments. - Understanding Earth's pre-Holocene (deep-time) climate systems.
