The Ohio State University Institute for Population Research (IPR) Seed Grants program is designed to nurture innovative, early-stage research in population science that will lead to competitive external grant proposals. The program funds data collection, pilot analyses, collaborative development, and other activities that strengthen the foundation for future external funding, particularly from the NICHD Population Dynamics Branch. Projects should align with IPR’s five research themes: family demography, sexual and reproductive health, health and mortality, adolescent to young adult development, and spatial analysis. Multidisciplinary and junior faculty-led projects are especially encouraged.
