The Ohio State University Institute for Population Research (IPR) Seed Grant Program provides internal funding to foster the initiation and development of innovative, multidisciplinary research in population and health sciences. The program is designed to help researchers collect or acquire data, conduct pilot analyses, build new collaborations, and undertake foundational work that strengthens future proposals for external funding—especially those targeting the scientific mission of the NICHD Population Dynamics Branch. Priority is given to projects within IPR’s five core thematic areas: Family Demography, Sexual and Reproductive Health, Health and Mortality, Adolescent to Young Adult Development, and Space and Place. The program especially encourages applications from junior faculty, faculty new to population research, and multidisciplinary teams.
