Key Information: This is a projected/forecasted opportunity; all dates are anticipated and subject to change.
The Simons Foundation’s Life Sciences division invites vision statements for new, high-impact collaborations in ecology and evolution. These collaborations are designed to unite groups of outstanding scientists—often from different disciplines—to address fundamental questions about ecological and evolutionary dynamics, especially at their interface. The foundation seeks bold, idea-generating research that may be too risky or overlooked by other funders, with a strong emphasis on cross-disciplinary approaches that integrate multiple scales (from genes to communities, local to global, or across time). Projects should aim to generate a deep understanding of the genetic, ecological, and evolutionary factors shaping organisms and their communities, foster open sharing of data and resources, and include investigators at multiple levels of seniority and across academic disciplines.
