The Simons Graduate Fellowships in Ecology and Evolution are designed to support students entering U.S.-based Ph.D. programs who plan to conduct research in ecology and evolution. The program emphasizes interdisciplinary research that considers both ecological and evolutionary timescales or connects ecology and evolution with other STEM fields such as physics, computer science, mathematics, chemistry, and genetics. The fellowship aims to foster innovative research, broaden the scientific community, and promote diversity and inclusion in science. Fellows benefit from up to three years of financial support (usable over a five-year period), opportunities to attend annual meetings, and engagement with a community of scholars and mentors.
