--- ## Description This funding opportunity, anticipated for December 2026, is designed to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) developing innovative solutions for urban mobility challenges. The call aims to accelerate the uptake of impactful mobility innovations by enabling SMEs to collaborate with public or private end-clients to test, demonstrate, and validate their solutions in real-world settings. Projects should align with EIT Urban Mobility’s strategic goals, targeting deployment and scaling of green, safe, and inclusive mobility solutions, and accelerating market opportunities through agile innovation. The program seeks to foster business growth, encourage cross-sector and cross-border market expansion, and create new partnerships within the EIT Urban Mobility ecosystem. SMEs can apply to pilot their products or services in one of five focus areas: Urban Logistics, Public Transport, Mobility Data Management, Electrification of Transport and Alternative Fuels, or Health and Mobility. --- ## Due Dates - December 2026: Full application deadline (submission via EIT Urban Mobility NetSuite) (anticipated/projected) *All dates are projected based on the annual cycle; check the program page for updates.* --- ## Funding Amount - Each selected SME will receive a lump sum of **€60,000** per project. - The call expects to fund approximately 10 projects, with a **total indicative budget of €600,000**. - Funding is disbursed in two installments: up to 50% pre-financing after contract signature, and the remainder upon satisfactory completion of deliverables and KPIs. - Recipients must contribute to EIT Urban Mobility’s financial sustainability via a fixed fee (€8,000) and a 5% fee on qualified leads (see “Additional Information”). --- ## Eligibility - **Applicant type:** Only SMEs (as defined by the European Commission) may apply; mono-beneficiary (single applicant) proposals only. - **Registration:** SME must be legally registered in an EU Member State or a country associated with Horizon Europe (including Switzerland, with some transitional provisions). - **Team size:** Minimum of 3 full-time equivalent (FTE) staff. - **End-client requirement:** Each application must include a signed letter of intent from a public or private end-client interested in testing the solution. - **Product maturity:** Only products/services at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 7 or higher are eligible. - **Previous funding:** SMEs funded in the previous SME Market Expansion Open Call (2025) are not eligible. - **Multiple submissions:** SMEs may submit multiple proposals, but only one can ultimately receive funding;
