--- ## Description This grant opportunity, administered by the USDA Food and Nutrition Service (FNS), provides competitive funding to State agencies that administer the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). The aim is to support projects that enhance recipient fraud prevention, detection, and investigation, following best practices and procedures outlined in the SNAP Fraud Framework. Projects must address at least one of seven key objectives, such as organizational management, performance measurement, recipient integrity education, fraud detection, investigations, analytics/data management, or staff learning and development. Activities may include developing educational materials, improving data analytics, implementing new fraud detection tools, or enhancing investigative processes. This funding is not intended for retailer fraud-related projects, nor for activities enhancing compliance with existing statutory or regulatory requirements already covered by federal reimbursement. --- ## Due Dates - Application Deadline: **July 31, 2025 (11:59 PM EDT)** - Anticipated Award Date: September 2025 - Anticipated Project Period: September 2025 – September 2028 --- ## Funding Amount - **Estimated Total Program Funding:** $5,000,000 - **Expected Number of Awards:** ~10 - **Award Range:** $150,000 (minimum) to $750,000 (maximum) per project - **Project Duration:** Up to 3 years --- ## Eligibility - **Eligible Applicants:** Only State agencies that administer SNAP, as defined in 7 CFR 271.2, may apply. - For county-administered states (CA, CO, MN, NJ, NY, NC, ND, OH, VA, WI), county agencies must include a letter of commitment or endorsement from the relevant State SNAP agency. - Only one application per State agency will be considered. - **Ineligible Applicants:** Entities not meeting the SNAP State agency definition. - **Cost Sharing/Matching:** Not required. --- ## Application Process - **Submission:** Applications must be submitted through [Grants.gov](https://www.grants.gov/search-results-detail/359896) by the deadline.
