The Social Work Excellence Fellowship from the National Bleeding Disorders Foundation (NBDF) is designed to support clinicians—specifically social workers—who are committed to improving psychosocial care and research for individuals and families affected by bleeding disorders. The fellowship encourages projects that integrate psychosocial and biomedical care, generate outcome-related data, and contribute to the literature on the psychosocial dimensions of bleeding disorders. Previous funded projects have addressed issues such as coping with chronic illness, mental health, transition outcomes, care gaps, and cultural diversity within the bleeding disorders community.
