--- ## Description The Solar and Planetary Research Grants (SPG) Program funds individual and collaborative research projects focused on the science of our solar system and extrasolar planetary systems. Supported activities include observational, theoretical, laboratory, and archival data studies, as well as the development of tools and projects that enable or enhance research in these areas. The program is intentionally broad and interdisciplinary, encouraging proposals that span multiple techniques and disciplines within solar and planetary astronomy. Proposals focused on the astronomy and astrophysics of stars, the Milky Way, other galaxies, or cosmology should be submitted to the companion Astronomy and Astrophysics Research Grants (AAG) program.
