The Sonia Kovalevsky Lectures, co-sponsored by the Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM) and the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM), honor women who have made exceptional contributions to applied or computational mathematics. The lecture is presented annually at the SIAM Annual Meeting, and the recipient receives a $2,000 prize, an honorary certificate, and recognition in the AWM Newsletter.
