Description
This three-week intercultural music residency at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity brings together musicians and ensembles from diverse backgrounds to foster creative exploration, artistic growth, and cross-cultural collaboration. Participants engage in both individual project development and collaborative ensemble work, guided by internationally recognized faculty experienced in cross-cultural music-making. The residency includes workshops on artistic process, concert curation, and career development, along with opportunities for public performance, archival recordings, and engagement with other artistic disciplines. The program is designed for those working in traditional global or Western classical music and aims to support risk-taking, experimentation, and the advancement of artistic practice in a supportive environment.
