The Southern Artist Spotlight Grant is a pilot program from South Arts designed to amplify the work of exemplary Southern artists and increase access to arts programming across its nine-state region (AL, FL, GA, KY, LA, MS, NC, SC, TN). This grant supports eligible organizations to present Southern guest artists—selected from South Arts’ roster—in disciplines including film, performing arts, literary arts, traditional arts, and visual arts. Funded projects must include both a public presentation (such as a film screening, performance, reading, or exhibition) and an educational or community engagement component (like a workshop, demonstration, panel, lecture, or master class). The program emphasizes artistic excellence, audience engagement, and strategic contribution to the Southern arts ecosystem.
