This opportunity supports U.S. scholars seeking to conduct research and/or teach at academic and research institutions in both Spain and Greece. The program encourages comparative projects that address historical, cultural, social, economic, or political issues linking the two countries, and is open to a wide range of fields including archaeology, classical studies, economics, art history, political science, preservation of cultural heritage, tourism, and the arts.
Scholars may teach graduate and/or undergraduate courses, present lectures, seminars, and workshops, assist in curriculum and program development, and/or conduct research either designated by the host institution or of their own choosing. Engagement with the host communities, such as public talks and student mentoring, is a core aspect of the award.
The award is jointly administered by the Fulbright Commissions in Spain and Greece, aiming to foster academic collaboration and promote international understanding.
