Summary: Supports small groups of mathematicians for intensive, week-long collaborative research visits at AIM's Pasadena facility, with possible renewal for up to three years.
The SQuaREs program at the American Institute of Mathematics (AIM) enables focused groups of four to six mathematicians to collaborate intensively on ambitious research projects in pure or applied mathematics. Selected groups spend a week at AIM’s Pasadena facility, benefiting from its research resources and logistical support. The program encourages both established and new collaborations, and groups may be invited to return for up to three meetings over three consecutive years to further their research progress.
AIM provides financial support for travel, lodging, and on-site research needs for each group member. Proposals are welcomed from all areas of mathematics, and the program is designed to foster deep, sustained collaboration that extends beyond the initial meeting.
