This award recognizes individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the field of pedology, including soil formation, classification, and mapping. The recognition is intended to highlight the importance of pedologists in advancing soil science and to encourage continued innovation and excellence in research and practice. The award is supported by the Advancing Pedology Lectureship Fund and administered by the Soil Science Society of America (SSSA).
Recipients are expected to give a presentation about their significant contribution at the Advancing Pedology Colloquium during the ASA-CSSA-SSSA International Annual Meeting.
