Description
The New Jersey Department of Children and Families’ Children’s System of Care (CSOC) intends to award up to two contracts for short-term, out-of-home Stabilization and Assessment Services. Each contract supports one five-bed program in a community-based, homelike setting for youth ages 11–17 with emotional and behavioral challenges associated with complex trauma.
Programs must provide a structured, trauma-informed therapeutic environment, comprehensive diagnostic assessments, and individualized service plans that are strength-based, youth-centered, and family-driven. Services include psychiatric care, medication monitoring, individual and family therapy, crisis planning, and structured recreation. Families, caregivers, and system partners participate in treatment and transition planning. The goal is to stabilize crises and help youth return home or transition to a less restrictive setting while maintaining school and community connections and preventing institutionalization, abuse or neglect, and hospitalization.
