This program supports collaborative research between Army Research Office (ARO) scientific staff and external institutions of higher education. The goal is to advance fundamental knowledge and scientific understanding in mechanical sciences, mathematical sciences, electronics, computing science, physics, chemistry, life sciences, materials science, network science, and environmental sciences. The research must be conducted at the institution’s facilities, with an ARO scientist collaborating but not serving as principal investigator (PI). The program aims to maintain and expand ARO staff competence while contributing to the education and training of students and supporting the Army’s mission.
