Description
This funding opportunity from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Idaho Field Office provides a cooperative agreement to support the Tribal Radioactive Materials Transportation Committee (TRMTC) in facilitating effective engagement between DOE and federally recognized Tribes across the United States. The goal is to ensure Tribal involvement in planning for future large-scale DOE transportation of commercial used nuclear fuel (UNF), high-level radioactive waste (HLW), and other radioactive materials. The recipient will provide staff and administrative support to the TRMTC, coordinate meetings, facilitate communication, support policy review, and assist with preparedness and training activities related to DOE shipments that may impact Tribal lands or interests.
