Description
This opportunity funds the implementation of the Staffing Analysis Implementation Program, a cooperative agreement from the National Institute of Corrections (NIC). The program aims to expand and enhance staffing analysis training and technical assistance for federal, state, local, and tribal corrections agencies. The initiative leverages NIC’s Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) curriculum, providing step-by-step, hands-on instruction and individualized coaching for participating agencies as they conduct a staffing analysis of custodial line officers and first-line supervisors.
The project’s deliverables include multiple iterations of the VILT staffing analysis training for different types of correctional facilities, collection and analysis of participant feedback, and the development of recommendations for curriculum refinement. The program is designed to improve operational safety, resource utilization, and professional performance within the corrections community.
