Description
The National Historical Publications and Records Commission (NHPRC), part of the National Archives and Records Administration, invites proposals from State Historical Records Advisory Boards (SHRABs) to address statewide and local needs in advancing archival practice, building capacity, and promoting the use and preservation of historical records—particularly at small and underserved archival organizations. The program aims to provide consistent, two-year support for SHRABs, with the opportunity to reapply for subsequent funding.
Funds may be used for a combination of organizational administration, regranting to archival repositories, professional development opportunities, and consultation services. The program especially encourages applications from SHRABs seeking to rebuild operations after periods of inactivity.
