Description
The State Trade Expansion Program (STEP), administered by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), provides competitive grants to state agencies and designated entities to support small businesses in expanding their export activities. The program aims to increase the number of small businesses that export, the dollar value of exports, and the number of small businesses exploring significant new trade opportunities. Funding supports a range of export development activities, including trade missions, international marketing, export training, and translation services, with a strong emphasis on direct benefit to eligible small business concerns (ESBCs).
