This grant program provides funding to eligible Massachusetts public water suppliers and municipalities holding Water Management Act (WMA) permits or registrations. The goal is to support projects that improve water use planning, enhance demand management, and mitigate the ecological impacts of water withdrawals. Funded projects may include watershed or subwatershed planning, drought resiliency, water conservation, rate studies, stormwater and wastewater management, operational improvements, and habitat restoration. Preference is given to projects benefiting disadvantaged communities or those located in highly impacted basins.
