The Steven O. Walfish Competition, funded by the APA Division 42 Next Generation Fund and administered by the American Psychological Foundation (APF), is designed to foster the next generation of practitioner psychologists. The program supports graduate students and early career psychologists in expanding the knowledge base of psychological practice by submitting original, unpublished manuscripts. Eligible submissions should present clinical, practical, or research innovations that address evolving standards, practices, or methods in psychology. Topics may include population-based issues, new procedures or techniques, diagnosis-based practice, or innovative service delivery models. Winners are encouraged to present their work at the APA convention and may have their papers considered for publication in the APA Division 42 journal, Practice Innovations.
