This program aims to prevent and reduce the initiation and progression of substance use and its related problems by supporting the development and delivery of community-based prevention services. The initiative focuses on strengthening protective factors, reducing risk factors, building resilience, promoting well-being, and expanding the capacity of prevention providers—including those serving tribal communities—to implement evidence-based and evidence-informed substance use prevention strategies.
