The Study of the U.S. Institutes (SUSI) for Secondary School Educators and Administrators is a five-week summer program designed to strengthen curricula and improve the quality of teaching about the United States in secondary schools and similar institutions. The program includes a four-week academic residency at a U.S. university, featuring lectures, seminars, site visits, and cultural activities focused on U.S. society, culture, values, and institutions. This is followed by a one-week integrated academic field experience in another U.S. region. The Institutes support educators in developing high school-level curricula on the United States, with a particular emphasis on America250 themes, and encourage ongoing professional engagement and international collaboration.
