The Summit Health and Safety Innovation Fund is a permanently endowed charitable fund managed by a supporting organization of the Akron Community Foundation. Established with an initial $45 million investment from Summit County’s opioid litigation settlement, the fund is designed to maximize local impact by supporting innovative, community-driven responses to ongoing and emerging public health and safety crises—especially those related to the opioid epidemic.
