This opportunity provides supplemental funding to current or past Research Goes Red (RGR) awardees to support projects that recruit and engage women from underrepresented communities in cardiovascular health research. Projects must utilize validated surveys and focus on the Life’s Essential 8 framework, which encompasses key health behaviors and factors for cardiovascular health. The initiative seeks to address gaps in understanding how social determinants, risk factors, and health-related social needs affect women’s cardiovascular health, emphasizing equity, inclusivity, and actionable outcomes.
Applicants are required to use the AHA’s Precision Medicine Platform for data harmonization and analysis, and must include a plan for communicating results and recommendations to study participants.
