Description
UN Women seeks four Responsible Partners (one per district: Western Area Urban, Western Area Rural, Kono, and Tonkolili) to implement the “Sustaining Peace and Social Cohesion” project in Sierra Leone. The initiative aims to shift conflict response from reactive to preventive by operationalizing the country’s first National Prevention Strategy (NPS), addressing root causes of instability such as political polarization, hate speech, and disinformation, especially in the lead-up to the 2028 elections. Partners will localize the NPS, reinforce local peace infrastructures, and implement community-driven interventions, with a strong focus on women’s leadership, youth engagement, and the inclusion of vulnerable groups.
