Description
This opportunity, administered by the Denali Commission, seeks statements of interest for projects that advance the goals of the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Alaska. Funding aims to build organizational and Tribal capacity to implement NRCS programs, support costs for obtaining permissions for easements and land trusts, and foster partnerships that benefit Alaska’s natural resources and communities.
Eligible projects may include activities such as:
- Capacity building for organizations supporting NRCS programs
- Building and supporting Tribal programs
- Covering costs associated with easements and land trusts (e.g., appraisals, surveys, legal fees)
- Implementing and supporting NRCS initiatives like EQIP, CSP, RCPP, and ACEP
The Commission prioritizes applicants who do not currently have active or pending awards with the Denali Commission.
