    Description

    This opportunity supports innovative research focused on the survivorship of individuals diagnosed with melanoma. Projects should address the preservation of function, quality of life, symptom and treatment toxicity management, resilience, psychosocial support, and other survivorship-related aspects. The program requires that at least one melanoma survivor or patient advocate is an integral part of the research team to ensure research relevance and impact. Clinical trials are permitted. Applications must demonstrate relevance to the health care needs of Service Members, Veterans, and/or other beneficiaries of the Military Health System. Projects focusing exclusively on animal models or only on survival outcomes without addressing quality of life, health, or function are not eligible.
