The SUSTAIN programme is a prestigious, year-long professional development initiative delivered by the Royal Society in collaboration with the Academy of Medical Sciences and the Royal Academy of Engineering. It is designed exclusively for women in research, offering a blend of career development workshops, personalized mentoring, leadership shadowing, and peer networking. The program aims to foster leadership skills, support career progression, and build a supportive community among women researchers across scientific disciplines.

- Interactive workshops on leadership, negotiation, time management, media skills, and more
- One-to-one mentoring with senior Fellows or SUSTAIN alumnae
- Peer support through co-coaching trios
- Leadership shadowing with leaders from academia, industry, government, or the third sector
