    Description

    This Horizon Europe Innovation Action funds projects that advance the understanding and implementation of sustainable and healthy diets for cardiovascular disease (CVD) prevention, leveraging AI and digital applications. The call aims to:

    • Investigate the interactions between diet, gut microbiome, and cardiovascular risk using standardized biomarkers and digital tools.
    • Develop and/or scale up digital health solutions for monitoring and reducing CVD risks, with personalized approaches for various population groups (age, gender, genetics).
    • Involve SMEs and start-ups in the development, deployment, and commercialization of digital tools.
    • Integrate data across healthcare systems and analyze health data to provide actionable insights.
    • Foster interdisciplinary approaches, including behavioral sciences and psychology, to improve the uptake and effectiveness of digital solutions.
    • Engage stakeholders across industry, academia, healthcare, authorities, and end-users in a multi-actor, co-design process.

    The expected outcomes include new or improved digital solutions for dietary guidance and CVD prevention, increased scientific knowledge, and robust economic and end-user impact analyses.
