This fellowship is a new initiative by the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at UBC Okanagan, designed to support Indigenous graduate students, particularly those from the Syilx Okanagan Nation, in developing their capacity to teach Syilx-specific Interior Salishan content. The program aims to foster Indigenous leadership in the Nsyilxcn language fluency degree and other Okanagan-focused courses within the Indigenous Studies program.
