Description
This funding opportunity, administered by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Counterterrorism, aims to enhance Tajikistan’s capacity to detect, report, and respond to illicit activities and early warning signs of radicalization, particularly in remote and frontier communities. The program is designed to strengthen community-level and government response to terrorist threats, with the ultimate goal of disrupting terrorist plots and movements and diminishing violent extremist recruitment in Central Asia.
The successful applicant will work closely with local stakeholders and the Government of Tajikistan to implement early detection strategies, improve information sharing, and train personnel to respond to security crises. The cooperative agreement will entail substantial involvement from the U.S. government in key programmatic decisions and oversight.
