--- ## Description The Teaching Art in Context Grants are designed to support faculty who integrate art history into their courses by funding projects that engage students with pre-modern European art, especially medieval and Renaissance works. The grants emphasize hands-on learning opportunities, such as museum visits, guest lectures, and classroom activities involving direct interaction with artworks. Proposals should include a focus on works from the [Kress Collection](https://www.kressfoundation.org/Kress-Collection/Repository-List), but projects connecting these pieces to other artistic traditions and historical periods are encouraged.
