Summary: Supports Williams College faculty in developing innovative, collaborative, and interdisciplinary courses addressing challenging pedagogical goals.
The Teaching Innovation Fellows program at Williams College is designed to inspire and support established faculty as they explore new and creative pedagogical approaches. The initiative encourages the development of new or substantially revised courses, especially those that are collaborative, interdisciplinary, or address challenging teaching goals. The program aims to help faculty reconnect with their core teaching aspirations by providing incentives for creative course design that goes beyond standard updates. Courses supported by this program should ideally be taught multiple times and contribute lasting curricular value to the college. Priority is given to proposals that foster unexpected faculty collaborations, engage less obvious disciplinary areas, and incorporate experiential learning, community engagement, sustainability, or digital technologies.
