This opportunity supports the establishment of State/Territory Coordination Hubs as part of a national effort to accelerate Artificial Intelligence (AI) readiness and adoption throughout the United States. The initiative is designed to go beyond K–16 education, targeting businesses, public-serving organizations, and individuals to expand access to AI knowledge, tools, and resources. Coordination Hubs will convene statewide partners, develop strategic AI readiness plans, facilitate hands-on AI deployment assistance, and coordinate training and workforce upskilling. Hubs are expected to collaborate with a forthcoming National Coordination Lead and contribute to national best practices and sector-specific initiatives. The program is structured to select up to 56 Coordination Hubs (one per state, DC, or territory) over three rounds, with each Hub serving as a neutral convener and backbone for AI adoption efforts in their jurisdiction.
