Description
The Minnesota Department of Transportation’s Office of Transit and Active Transportation distributes this grant to help rural and small urban transit agencies in Greater Minnesota acquire technology for modern transit service. The 2027 solicitation covers hardware and fully developed software, including software installation, subscriptions, or purchases; it does not fund development of new software.
The grant can also cover related first-year costs such as maintenance fees, installation support, and training. MnDOT emphasizes readiness and advance planning in its scoring. Awardees track procurement progress and update their useful-life planning after putting the technology in use.
