The Temerty Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Holodomor Studies supports early-career scholars in advancing research on the Holodomor, the 1932–33 famine in Ukraine. The fellowship is hosted by the Canadian Institute of Ukrainian Studies (CIUS) at the University of Alberta, in partnership with the Holodomor Research and Education Consortium (HREC). Fellows are expected to pursue original research, contribute to program activities (such as organizing workshops or conferences), and may have the opportunity to teach a course. The fellowship encourages interdisciplinary and comparative approaches, accepting proposals from fields such as history, political science, anthropology, sociology, literature, genocide studies, famine studies, and rural studies.
