--- ## Description The Teva Pharmaceuticals Marc A. Goshko Memorial Grant, administered by the American Chemical Society (ACS) and funded by Teva Pharmaceuticals, was established to honor Marc A. Goshko’s contributions to the field and his role in founding this program. The grant supported recently tenured faculty at Ph.D.-granting institutions in the United States, enabling them to pursue creative research in organic and medicinal chemistry with practical applications for the discovery of new human medicines. The program emphasized scientific merit, creativity, and the exploration of new or underexplored areas in these fields. --- ## Due Dates - The program ran from 2009 to 2023. - **Currently, the grant is not accepting new applications.** - There is no upcoming or projected deadline at this time. --- ## Funding Amount - **Award Amount:** $100,000 per year for three years (total $300,000) - **Number of Awards:** 1 per cycle - **Award Period:** September 1 to August 31 of each year - **Budget Restrictions:** - No institutional overhead or administrative charges allowed - Maximum $10,000/year for PI salary (including benefits) - Maximum $5,000/year for travel (with travel to present results required in the third year) - Support allowed for postdocs, research associates, technicians, graduate and undergraduate students, and equipment/supplies --- ## Eligibility - Applicant must be a recently tenured faculty member at a Ph.D.-granting department in the United States - Must have received their first tenure decision during or after the 2012–2013 academic year (for recent cycles) - Research must focus on organic chemistry with direct or potential connections to medicinal or pharmaceutical chemistry, aiming for practical benefits in the discovery of new human medicines --- ## Application Process **Note:** The program is currently closed and not accepting new applications.
